IMPORTANT NOTE:
We are able to ship to some countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and North America. Due to the pandemic and to the war in Ukraine, however, there are several countries in Europe and elsewhere that we cannot ship to, because Japan Post cannot deliver them there. Those countries are currently blocked on our auctions, but we will unblock them as soon as it’s possible to send airmail to them.
To Buyers in the USA:
Japan Post has resumed International Air Mail Parcel service to the USA as of June 1, 2022. They have not resumed “Small Packet” service, which is far lower cost (and which we would prefer to use), but Air Mail Parcels are a little less expensive than Express Mail Service (EMS). The first bracket on their fee chart for Air Mail Parcels covers a parcel that weighs up to 1kg (about 35oz), and so several small items can be sent in one parcel without the shipping charges rising. This resumed shipping method also includes tracking, and will be reflected in the shipping costs for items to be sent to the USA.
This Japanese iron
fuurin
is probably 30 or so years old, and is in the shape of a Buddhist temple bell. There are no markings.
There is general wear and dustiness, with many spots of mostly minor oxidation, and the paper tassel that should hang from the clapper is missing, but there is no significant structural damage.

General Note about Shipping:
Unless otherwise indicated, we ship all of our items via Standard Air Mail. Nonetheless, we are always happy to change shipping methods if faster (and thus more expensive) or cheaper (and thus slower) shipping is desired. The shipping options available are (from fastest and most expensive to slowest and least expensive): EMS, Air Mail, SAL (economy airmail), Surface.
Registered mail with tracking is also available for an additional US$4.50 above the standard Air Mail shipping cost stated in the description.
We are glad to combine multiple items for shipping, and of course will discount some of the postage charges for each item after the first one. Please note that the shipping discount is not large for heavy items, but for small, light things we will discount the shipping charges by 40-100 percent, depending on how heavy it is and how it needs to be packed.
We ship at least once and very often twice a week, and so most of the time items will be in the mail within no more than 10 business days after we have received payment. We also always send a brief note informing buyers when their items have shipped.
